Property wasn't always a chosen path for me when I was younger, but being surrounded by Hong Kong's incredible built environment throughout my childhood piqued my curiosity about how cities, businesses, and people are all served by buildings and its property.

After graduating from Reading with a degree in Real Estate and then cutting my teeth in residential agency for almost a year, an opportunity arose at Stage that allowed me to transition to a commercial role in the West End. Joining Stage as a commercial agent during its first year of trading required me to quickly adapt, learn, and overcome challenges as the first hire. The dynamic environment of a startup has equipped me with diverse skills and insights into both agency work and the inner workings of a start-up business looking to not only survive but thrive.

During my time at Stage and in commercial agency, I've become driven by the constant challenge of sourcing deals and providing the best results for my clients. Attending various launches has also allowed me to view commercial buildings ranging from small townhouses to flagship developments throughout central London. This experience has been eye-opening and has taught me how workspace products can be successfully or unsuccessfully marketed. It has also provided opportunities to connect with clients, make new friends, and expand my network.

Looking ahead, I am eager to build upon my previous year's experiences, forging new connections with clients and industry professionals. With several new buildings teeing up for release in 2023, I am excited to observe how the built environment adapts and how economic pressures impact these new projects. Most importantly, I am excited to be a part of Stage's growth and to welcome new colleagues to the team and beginning my studies towards my RICS professional qualification.
